Hi I am 4 weeks post op for my dual chamber PPM insertion. Its been really good, starting to get a bit sore around the incision yesterday and now is slightly red around the edges and a bit warm.
I feel fine in my self, no fever, but i am a little tired. Should I be concerned?

Yes, you should be concerned.
You should have your pacemaker checked out as soon as possible. What you are describing are classic signs of an infection.
Call your doctor or cardiologist or whomever you deal with now.
Always always always err on the side of caution.

...and I would encourage your Dr to give you an injectable antibiotic rather than oral. As it gets into the bloodstream much more quickly you should get a more rapid response.
Let us know how you get on

I had my first pacemaker inserted in 2002. Was home for two weeks and my wound got infected. I was back in hospital for a week on antibiotics. Please see to it.

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.

If it is infection and as Pookie says it probably is ,then the sooner you start antibiotics the better.
