Hello Brenda welcome I have had my share of anxiety as well. Talk to us and tell more about it. Are you sleeping OK are you on some new medications? Stuff like that good relationship maybe bad one. I had the worst anxiety in my whole life 3 weeks after I got my PM but good pills and talk to lots of people what was going on for me helped and of course this great place. So chin up get it all out

welcome

thank you guys

well why the anxiety now is a year ago I got sick and it took the DRs 2 months to find out that I had congestive heart failure and two blood clots; one in my heart and one in my arm.  i have all was had anxitey about it but now its just got bad i was up to 275 pounds and im down 213 i lost over 60 pounds of water and now i keep thinking im going to get sick all over and i think about it all the time i just dont know how to stop doing it.   i try to keep my self busy but its not always easy to do.   my DR told me to see if i could find some ppl like me that could tell me how they deal with their ICDs so i looked last night and i found you guys so im hoping to get some help im 33 and i live in oregon with my 3 kids (DOGS) and my b/f

thank you for info and help

brenda :)

I also have congestive heart failure. I made the mistake of telling my ex-husband about it, and he said, wow, you're worse off than me. He had a quintuple (5) bypass and new valve put in about 7 years ago. He just sits in the house, smoking three packs a day, hair down his back, beard down his front, kinda smells, too. I'm worse off than him? ? ? I got my ICD November 2010, so it's been a year, and I can honestly say I feel better than I ever have before. I only weigh myself every couple of days because i know you have to watch weight gain with CHF, and I take my BP maybe once a week. I kinda watch what I'm eating, but I'm not a real big eater unless it's a baked potatoe with butter and sour cream. Then I can't stop myself. Good for you that you're losing weight. I'm on Prednisone now for a badly sprained ankle, and I'm eating everything in sight. This site will really help your anxieties and fears. It has certainly helped mine, and thousands like us. Just don't be afraid to write what you feel. We don't have all the answers but we have all the compassion. Been there, done that.

I haven't had my icd for very long. But I also feel uncomfortable with it. Scary even. Jim
