It was fun to watch all the games - especially this final.. We in the USA are gradually learning to enjoy the sport.

Winning the World Cup or any world title is a grueling trek toward recognition.

The 32 teams that start the tournament have gone through a harsh winnowing process already - to wind up on top is a true feather in the German's cap.

To be honest, for the greater part of this world cup I was not happy with how our team played; Germany has certainly played better tournaments in the past. But if this World Cup proved something: It takes a team effort, you do not win a World Cup with one or two superstars. And Germany had this team :-)

I am particularly happy for Miroslav Klose (36!), the goal machine, who played his fourth World Cup, and is now record scorer in the history of this tournament. He's one amazing player!

1954, 1974, 1990, 2014 - hopefully there's more to come :-)

Yes, great World Cup and Brazil showed poor, very poor performance. Well, it was very good to have a pacemaker working well LOL! It's incredible the astounding amount of jokes that I have been reading on the net. It has been a great time for good humor. Lol.
Congratulations , Germany!!! I love Oktober Fest and German beer (in moderation now LOL!)
