its hurt

hello,

My husband had a pacemaker replaced last Oct. 2011. he always said that the pacemaker is not look alright then the edge of the skin outside start to get red and we went to cardiology the doctor always gave him a antibiotic but it didnt get alright until the puss start to come out and it get infected.. i dont know what can i do,, i want to know somebody that can help us to fix this because my husband dont have any insurance and dont have a job.. i need your help please..thank you!

Infection is nothing to mess with. He needs an infectious disease specialist asap. Good luck to both of you.

no insurance? how long has he been without insurance. If you have gone without insurance for six months, you can apply for the state funded insurance. I don't know anything about pm infections, but I do know insurance, so I hope the following website helps out. Please visit: https://www.pcip.gov/ for information on the government's preexisting condition plans.

I understand wanting to put something off due to lack of funds and insurance, but this is very important. Insurance or not, you need to get this checked up on ASAP.

...here's what you do, Take him to the nearest Emergency room.

Tell them you have no insurance & cannot pay. That he lost his job & when he lost it. That he has an infection that may be fatal. That he has a pacemaker. That no one else will treat him.

They, by law, have to treat him & worry about payment later.

It is not like you are taking in a child w/ a runny nose.

thank you all for all the advices and concern... the doctor already schedule his surgery but we need to wait 10 more days... the truth is, the pacemaker or what you call a battery is already showing out and the whole on my husband chest is big like a nickel.. i am always hurt everytime i see it... again thank you!
