Don't know exactly what is wrong

But,

have had a PM (St. Jude device) since August 2011. Everything is fine, I do my jogging, yard work, etc. Been getting in shape for a 5k and 10k for my birthday in August.
Recently (about the last 4-5 weeks) I've been getting a "funny" feeling while sitting down or just standing for a period of time. I'll be at work, and then all of a sudden, WHAM -this weird numb feeling all over my body. I get a bit light headed, but then it goes away after about 5 seconds. Also, if sitting for a while, like at home watching TV, then get up quickly, the same symptoms occur, but not all the time.
Like I said, jogging is not a problem (this last Saturday, I jogged 6 miles). Felt real good! Don't know what the problem is though. I am taking my Lipitor and metropolol (very small doses), eat well, take my B complex, fish oil, etc.

I see my CARDO next week and will tell him the above. Anybody have any thoughts? Let me know.

I also do work on my cars (hobby) and would like to know if working near running engines would "alter" my PM settings.

Working near cars

I work around my Jeep engine while it's running with no problem. A few weeks ago I charged the A/C with it running and was leaning over right next to the magnetic clutch on the compressor. So far I haven't found anything that bothers mine. Even if something does interfere with the pacer operation the effects aren't permanent and disappear when you move away from the source.

By the way is that 1977Scout a real International Scout? I had a 1963 Scout for years.

The Cardio should be able to check if anything is causing the symptoms you mention. They are typical of skipped heart beats.

You might find the printout of your pacer checkup interesting. Ask the cardio for a copy of the Initial and Final Interogation Report. I always remind them of it at the beginning of the check so he can print an extra copy for me.

Possibility

There may be a defect in the insulation on your lead(s) that only manifests itself occasionally. The Doc should be able to pick that up in your interrogation. FWIW, St Jude did have lead problems awhile back. I had two St Jude leads- one had to be replaced after 8 months. They blamed it on my doing upper body weight training against their advice, but I will always have doubts.

HAve you considered your EARS?

I have had that for well over 30 yrs - it's my ears. I've mentioned it to my cardio several times & he waves it off as NOT a cardio problem.

VERY scary & disconcerting - even today after having it for yrs. What I have notices, also, is that it makes me feel like I am "Falling" off to the right or want to veer to the right if it hits me while standing. Always to the right. Another sign that it's inner ear balance problems.
