Hello All,
My daughter finally received her pacemaker ten days ago, her surgeon opted to implant a Biotronic Evia SR. She is experiencing extreme heart pounding, diaphragmatic pacing, headache, pressure in her chest. She is pacing with great frequency. She has been seen in ER twice with complete workups and the implantation is sound in all ways. We made the four hour trip back to her surgeon, he had called in the Biotronic rep and between him, the pacemaker nurse and the rep, they adjusted the settings. We were told that there are only 9 other recipients of this model in BC, so I was hoping that someone here in pacemaker club may have experience and/or advice about this unit. Specifically, did you experience this amount of discomfort? How long did it last? etc. I am a recipient of a pacemaker 22 months ago, and although there were different challenges for me, it was not like this...
Thank you for your replies...

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
