I was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.It has been a scary & challenging experience with all the palpitations & tremors that come along with the diagnosis, at least before i started treatment... it was awful. My cardiologist & primary physician have always monitored my thyroid hormones because as some of you may know a thyroid dysfunction can have cardiac implications. I was a bit surprise that within 6months or less of my last thyroid check , things went awry. The lesson learned is if you are feeling tired, insomnic, jittery, fatigued, heat intolerant.. it may be more than just your heart. Talk to your doctor. Make sure they monitor your thyroid functions.
