After having my second pacemaker in August 2011, I've had sore lymph nodes in my neck. The nurse practiioner said it was from my body attacking the new devise. I have been to my regular MD and had blood work done. The sore stiff neck continues even after a round of antibotics.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

but with a loop monitor. I was blown off saying my body just had to adjust. I ended up having MRSA but I had "NO CLUE" what my body was feeling! Anyway...stay up on it. I ended up in hospital for a week six weeks after implant. The antibiotics for MRSA are horrible. Good luck and remember it is YOUR body not theirs!!!
Lymph nodes and pacemakers

Had recent enlargement of lymph nodes ( see my posting last week).
Found interesting article - if no inflammation ( e.g in the pacemaker pocket, or infection, and cancer is excluded, then PM itself may be the problem.

sore neck

The left side of my neck is frequently sore and hurts. After thinking about it, I realized that I sit in my favorite chair reading or watching TV and lean to my left with my elbow taking my body weight while my hand supports my chin. I didn't realize I was doing that so often Now when it gets really sore I do a mirror image by leaning on my right elbow. I have to be rigorous about switching sides because habit is very strong. Even my neck vertebra get involved. Since you said your lymph nodes are involved this probably has no connection with you but you might check.
