Yeh. Keep on going!

Just had my third annual PM check up.

Still paced 100%, but then that's no surprise as I have no electrical pathway between my atrium and ventrical!

Good news is I have 146 months of battery life left. Thats just over 12 years!

Good ole ELA!

Hi Lotti - very glad t hear the good news about your latest check-up. How relieved you must be. I'm delighted to hear your good news.

Nice to talk to you the other evening in the chat room and I see I missed you earlier this evening. Nearly bedtime here - and it's raining in Sheffield. Are the family all well these days? I expect they keep you on your toes. Good job you've plenty of battery power to draw on! All love, Sheila xxx

Hi

I have an Ela and had the implant in 2004. They say very little of my battery is used. I am paced 100%. But whenever I ask there is no time put on what is left on my battery other than plenty of time.. How come you can be so definite about exact time remaining I would love to know how this is assessed. Hope you can answer my question. Cheers from downunder.

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
