CRT-D

Hi all.... have not posted in forever, if ever. My hubby has medtronic ICD, 2011, but they are now going to change out for a CRT-D. Understand everything about them, and why.....

My question: Is there one that I can send transmissions over the internet? I live in Mexico and our Medtronics Carelink can not.....they are supposed to in the near future, but that does not help me now.

Any input would be wonderful!!!
Thanks,
Sandy

They are most likely going to attempt to put a Medtronic CRT-D in. Standard practice is to stick with the same company so I would make sure your voice is heard loud and clear.

They have a celluar device works globally. Check with your doctor to make sure that this unit is approved for use in mexico. Everybody has home monitoring units, I can't say for sure if they work in mexico. When it comes time for implant, only sign a consent to implant a model that has the technology you need. Make sure it is known and in writeing on the consent form prior to surgery.

You know you're wired when...

You have a 25 year mortgage on your device.
