Hi All
I've just received my letter saying that Im due to go for the battery change on 30th September. They may be putting a extra lead in as at the moment I only have one rather than two. I work as a support worker and deal with personal care for the residents in my care. What is the most likely time I will be able to go back to work after surgery?
Thanks in advance
Nia

My ICD/pacer is not a burden. I still play tennis and golf.

If you get a new lead, the restrictions will be the same as the first implant, however you should be less sore. If they only change out the box, it's a very fast recovery. I've had it done Friday and gone on vacation Tuesday. The incision has to heal, that's it.
