I'm having them all the time now, only had my pm a couple of months and I stared having heart rates of 165 maybe ones a week but now having it up to 10 times a day. I had my pm looked at last week and she said its all doing what it should be doing and no setting changes needed but she says I need to have tests to see where in the heart it was all starting from and has made ma an appointment to see the cardiologist for the 30 of sep!!! I'm worried though as I feel so ill all the time and I'm going on holiday on the 19 of sep and worried about getting ill in morocco. Letme know how you are getting on xxxx
svt's

I did my 2nd at-home PM check in July and saw my Cardiologist last month for a routine visit. Was told at that time I was throwing svt's, the longest episode lasting 28 min. with HR at 158. I don't know when it happened, as I don't always feel them. Sometimes I will feel a flutter that lasts several seconds, maybe 1-2 min.. She put me on Metoprolol to see if that would help. I have to go back in October. So far, it's not made any difference. How long have you had your PM? I got mine in Dec. 2012. I really don't understand a lot about PM function, etc., but learn a lot by coming to this site and reading about everyone else's experiences. A lot of members are very helpful.

I have had my pacemaker 10 years already just the last couple weeks I have really been aware of my heart beating and I hate it and palpating so I called my doctor and she upped my dose of ER metoprolol so I am hoping this helps me with the fast heart rates and palpations I hope you are all doing well

At my last interrogation, the monitor read that my HR at one episode was at 180. It may have occurred when I restarted my swimming. My cardiologist put me on a light dosage of Atenolol, 25 mg daily. I also take 40mg of Aspi-Cor. When I have my next interrogation in December, I'll see if it's helped.

Fast heart rate

I have had fast heart rate episodes, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with it. I definitely feel it but maybe I am not aware of other times when it happens.
About 8 months ago during a PM check it was discovered that I was in atrial flutter. I had been feeling short of breath but never felt anything in my chest. Turns out it had been going on for a couple of months and I needed a cardio conversion (shock). I suppose we don't always feel what our heart is doing.
