Raising upper limit

Just had a check up/ setting meeting today. New Medtronic tech rep. He's very cooperative. I explained my problem of fatigue upon little exertion. Thanks to the people on this site, I was able to have an intelligent conversation with him. He called my Dr. and they agreed to raise my UL from 120 to 130. I realize it's only a small step, but I'll call him in a few weeks for another increase if necessary.
I thought my RR was on. He said it was NOT, but he did turn it on today.
Let's see what happens. Thanks to all.

Just a little piece of advice for the next adjustment: Better not let them change several settings at once, because it will then be difficult to find out which of them did the trick for you. With a heart block, you should not need the rate response; that you were able to walk several miles before the pacemaker was put it, confirms that. You want to be sure that you really need the RR on: You'll be paced a lot more with this feature switched on, and in patients with intermittent heart blocks one should try to reduce ventricular pacing to a minimum. The only way to find out is to change nothing else, but switch only the RR from off to on. If what was done today helps you to feel better, you'll not know whether it's just the higher upper rate limit or the RR or both.

Best wishes

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
