Hi all!
I am new here. I am happy to be here! I had a liver transplant in 2005 amd a pacemaker in 2010. I had bradycardia. I am also diabetic. But that doesn’t slow me down. I walk 1 hour 4 times a week and do weight lifting three times a week. I use a light bar with 5 lb. weights and 5 lb. dumbbells. I also love to do dancing aerobics. My cardiologist heartily approves. I have a Boston Scientific Altrua 606 and it a gem. I am glad to encourage all to just take it slow and easy and do more reps. It works for me!

June you sound full of life, in England they would have you back down the coal mines by now rather than give you disability. It's refreshing to read that someone with so many medical problems is making the most of their life.
And Blake, so pleased to see that you are still recovering, you threw us all into a turmoil when you were ill, 100 lines - I PROMISE I WILL NOT BE ILL AGAIN ☺
I've just started doing weights this year for the first time, at age 57, I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I do.

I've been also doing some light weights with lots of reps. I've been happy with the results so far... toning up, not building lots of muscle.
Happy pacing,
Blake
