Refereeing Basketball

Well it's that time of the year again , basketball season ..... I've officiated for about 15 years now .... I'm 38, and received my pacer on Dec 16, 2011. I'm really scared to get back on the court and have another episode like last year while refereeing ball. My heart shot up to 240 bpm for about 4 hours , was shocked back to a normal rhythm. Any suggestions on dealing with this ???

What to do re. fear of recurrence

I think the best thing is to talk to the cardiologist who treated you with the cardioversion ( shock treatment). The chances are that there is medication to help stop the arrhythmia happening again given the same circumstances.

Wishing you well - happy refereeing!
