When I got my Defib. implanted in 5/2010 I wanted to monitor
my heart rate while running. I first purchased a Sportline Dou Heart
Rate Monitor watch with chest strap. I found this watch to be
ineffective nearly every time I used it. The heart rate readings
were constantly jumping up and producing inacurate readings.
This watch may work for runners without PM /defib., but not those
with an implanted device.
My son gave me a Garmin Forerunner 305 for Christmas. I have
used in for nearly a month and am totally satisfied with the results.
In addition to the heart rate monitor you get time, speed, distance,
calories burned, and a wealth of other information on your workouts
you can easily download on your computer. You can also use it
for other sports.
Don't waist your money on the Sportline Duo, get the Garmin
Forerunner 305. I wish someone would have told me first.

Gamin 305Xt with ICD

I have the same one, and it works great. Sometimes it gets stuck and is off by a few beats, but in general the Garmin 305xt seems to work well with my ICD. I depend on it.
You know you're wired when...
You have a 25 year mortgage on your device.

I will have to try that one out. I've never been able to find one that works for me.
