Hi, all of you. Last Oct. 14th boyfriend, age 62, going on ten, had pacemaker implanted. Felt fine before pace maker, but holter monitor test showed resting heartrate went down in 20's during sleep. Very active, p.e. coach type. We posted in Oct. and you were all very helpful. We thought we had all glitches settled, but now four months later still have problems.
Last week he hiked down to river, one mile easy, rested a couple of minutes, turned around to walk back up, had to stop three times first 100 feet because legs total mush. Within five minutes felt fine, walked, jogged back up hill. Also, this week, while leisurely hitting tennis balls, had same feeling of legs going to mush. Continually, notices empty, hollow feeling in chest, sometimes exercising, sometimes at rest. Feels fine biking, skiing, etc.
Pacemaker type: St. Jude, model number:PM2210
Settings not exactly known, started out at 120/60. He remembers that it has no top number. I remember that they changed it to 130. Pacer tech didn't seem to have a clue. We are calling for appointment with Dr.
What questions should we ask? Thank you much for being here.
