Feeling better!!!

I have been offline for sometime, but I’m back.  ICD placed 10/10/10.  EF was 11.  I just went to my EP.  While I continue to work only 24hrs/week my EF is now 40!!!  Not being cleared for more work until possibly May.  I’m a 40 y.o. nurse in a hospital.  High stress and high paced.  Just thought I would share. Take care everyone and thanks to all of you who have wished me well.

So glad to see you back online! You must be thrilled that your Ejection Fraction went from 11 to 40 in such a short time span; hope things continue to improve.

Keep us posted and may your EF continue to rise.

Take care,
Pookie

Hi, I am so happy to hear your story. I went into heart failure a year ago . I already had a pacemaker but 2 weeks ago I received a bi ventricular/defibrullator. My ejection fraction has remained at 24% since day one even though I have been on meds. It is encouraging to hear that your EJ has gone up so much. I am a careaide and have been unable to works since last April and I miss my job so much. I am hoping that with this new device things will improve. I want my life back. Glad to hear that you are doing so well.

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.
