morning all

had my check-up and PM just pacing along. No epicodes in the last 9 months at all. Have found out that I use the Pm 90% of the time and it has 5 to 6 years of battery power left.
I did the walking before the check-up like suggested and it showed nothing so either my mind is making me lazy or my legs are weak from not getting my walks . So now looking for some easy on the knees exercises to strenghten legs and knees . I have 1 knee replacement and other knee not good.
Been told to continue on as I am doing so that's what I will do. Seeing him again in 9 months. Thanks for the suggestions you gave when ask.
Take care all and have a lovely spring and summer.

I have a exercise bike that I plan to dust off and get it in action again. As for th pool , we have one when it gets a bit warmer her and yes wlking is easier but really good for you in the water. Have put on my stubborn hat now and have decided that when I go out places I will park away from the store and walk more this way. Believe me when i say when my stubborn hat goes on I usually success Not sure what took so long to find it
. Thanks for the suggestions , they all help . I plan to get to where I plan to go.

Exercises...

Hi,
You could try cycling, either on a real bike or a static exercise bike. You can make it as easy or as hard as you wish depending on your chosen route and speed and its great for the heart too.
For a different take on walking head to the local swimming pool and walk widths or lengths of the pool in the water. The water resistance will mean using more power from your muscles but for less impact on the shins, knees and ankles. Why do you think aqua-aerobics is so effective?
Similarly try gentle walks up flights of stairs, although I suspect that may be too hard on your weak knee it will mean more work for less strides.
There are loads of ideas of things to do to up the level of an existing workout, improve the ergonomics and generally just make it more interesting.
Good luck.

If your bike causes your knees discomfort like mine did, try an elliptical machine. I love my elliptical and they are very low impact. (No more cracking knees with each revolution of the bike)! Good Luck!!
