Is it OK to use a electric heating pad near a pacemaker?

Check for magnets

I agree with the other two comments, but make sure the blanket doesn't have a magnet in it. I have a heating pad that wraps around your neck and can fasten in the front with magnets.

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.

If you can I would avoid putting the pad right on top of the pacer. There is very little need to do that anyway. It's possible that the160Hz power line in the heating wires could interfere with the pacer.
I know I've used a heating pad since receiving my pacer, but don't remember exactly where I placed it.
I guess I should add it to my list of things to test on myself.
