Story about surgical tape

After swimming and showering, I started noticing "rusting" along my scar from chest surgery --- brown splotches here and there. I was wondering if somehow the chlorine was rusting out surgical wire.
The splotches would fade until the next time I went swimming.
After some weeks, I realized that, even though the chest surgery was more than a year earlier, the splotches were from glue residue from the tape they used to put me back together.
Seems I had carefully avoided scrubbing that area for more than a year. Finally, scraped it all off with my fingernail.

I have so many scars, I am afraid to take my shirt off at the pool.
Young people might see me and decide that tattoos are now out of fashion.

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.

And the adhesive from the ECG patches can be long lasting as well. I have found dirt outlines on my chest and shoulders days after removal. It requires hard scrubbing with gasoline and brillo pads. Just kidding.
