I've experienced problems with my second implant. Things haven't been quite the same since atrial flutter and my raging pain in the "A" junctional rhythm decided to compete with my 100% atrial paced rhythm. We've "tweaked" my pacer as much as possible, so they say, without my junctional getting all rowled up and showing it's crazy face. Needless to say, I've got issues.
For starters:
My pacer's underneath the muscle in the crook of my armpit. It's crazy sensitive since they placed it under the muscle. I put lotion on and the rate response jacks my pulse up to 160. I sit there and feel uncomfortable. I've been putting up with this for years now because I need my rate response to act my age. LOL.
Just completed wearing a holter monitor. I'm still waiting to hear what the doc says, but from what I can tell my pacer's undersensing, I have bigeminy and other ventricular arrhythmias. Ugh! I'm at my wits end. I demanding something be done since it feels that my timing is off. I thought pacers were supposed to make rhythms even, not the opposite. I feel pauses, fast, slow, you name it. One thing I haven't been for a long time is smooth and evenly timed. Convincing the pacer techs of my problem has been another issue completely.
I really wish for once since having a pacer that I could feel "normal". Things have never been "right" since I was implanted with one in 8/08, but I also got a lot going on.
Talk about frustrating.....the saga continues
