Using an Inclined inverter table witha PM

New Pm Guy here. Waiting on my Doctor's OK to return to full speed and duty in a few weeks. I am 68 and also have a spinal arthritis issue with my facet joints in the L-4 and L-5 area of my spine.

Prior to my PM implant I purchased an incline inversion table to use to stretch my spine and hopefully relieve some of the joint pain I experience daily.

My question for the PM experts here is: Is there any danger to the heart and implant leads by hanging upside down to stretch my spine and relieve some discomfort.

If anyone reading this that has a PM and uses an inclined inversion table please let me know if there are risks in doing so or if it creates any problems? I am also not planning on doing any bungee jumping in the future, just the inversion table.

I also get a spine injection every two months to reduce the lower spine pain, but I would also like to use the inversion table as well.

Thanks, JEM

Glad to have you as a new member. You will meet and 'post/comment' to a lot of wonderful, great, educated other members on this website.

Can't help you out re: 'incline inversion table', but just wanted you to know that someone one this website will know an answer or two for you.

I am the type who can stand on my head and 'jump up/down' on my own without even having a 'table nor a bungee cord'! ~ my normal, 'klutzy', theatrical acrobatics during the day is all I can stand ~ LOL.

Have a great day and keep us posted,

hanging up side down

I have an inversion table, and I love it! I also have a gizmo that you put around your neck, and blow it up, and it puts traction on your C-spine. I’ll even put that on first, then hang up-side-down.

Once you are over the "don’t reach over your head with your hand" stage, I would stretch very slowly. After a while, you’ll be able to do it daily.

Some people have a problem with hanging and their hearts, my sister being one of them. I would make sure you don’t have that condition (I forgot what it was called)

Enjoy!
