I was scheduled for a simple pacer change back on april 23rd but on april15th something happened. i was out shopping with wife when it happened i got dizzy and almost passed out my wife rushed me to the ER and instead of a quick pacer change i had to get a Defrib. It was the worst day of my life. I'm only 35 years old and i didn't think this would happen so eairly in my life. It is a big change but i know it had done. My only advise to any of us with pacers is "my name is Sean and i will most likley die of heart failure but NOT TODAY, NOT TODAY"

15 years and two pacers i was doing just fine. I had my last check up and pacer check two days prior and all was good but that sunday it changed. The dr's conclusion was my lower chambers spiked to 190bpm for reasons unknown. My Dr was dumbfounded he said that just dosent happen to people my age thats why i have the defib to combat against that happening again. I can tell you i feel much better but now its seems more real.
You know you're wired when...
You can feel your fingers and toes again.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.

How long were you paced prior to this episode. What part of heart was failing?
