Hi all
Exciting times....tomorrow is the day I go in for my next PM check.....3 weeks after they found my SA node is working again on exertion.
I'm looking forward to finding out whether my %atrial pacing is going down now my SA node works again. I'm wondering if they will turn down my lower rate to 60 (from 70) to give my SA node more of a chance to work at rest. Also wondering if they might try turning off the rate response. I know they won't do more than one setting change at a time so I'll see what they say.
Will also find out if I've had any further episodes of VT recorded.
Had 3 episodes over 3 months, post AV node ablation last October. Last episode was in January. I haven't felt any fast heart rates so I'm hopeful there have been none (apparently sometimes you don't feel it but it gets recorded).
The Head of Pacing is doing my PM check tomorrow, she has been looking after me & my PM since last August.
Exciting times....I'll let you know how I get on!
Best wishes
Janey

Love that one Ian! I'll be SO impressed & overjoyed if it is zero! I think my EP & Pacing Head would be too, not to mention my arrythmia nurse who really went through it with me when my sinus node got damaged 2 years ago. Can't wait to find out....
Best wishes

Pulling for you

I am pulling for you too, Janey. Come join the unplugged club.
You absolutely should get them to lower your low rate to let the sinus node figure out what to do. I had them put mine on 50 (my normal resting pulse was in the high 50s at that time and sure enough it settled right back in that same range.
Good luck,
E. B.

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
