I just had a pacemaker and defib put in on March 6, I had 3 leads put in my last pacemaker/defib and 3 leads were put in July 2009. My questions to others out there: did you have more pain second time around? The surgery was really painful this time last time. I didn’t remember this much pain, it hurts to move my neck and left arm. I was in hospital overnite but didn’t have much pain. I was just sitting tonight and the pain has been really bad; they told me to put ice on it, which I have, but it really hasn’t taken any of the pain away. Pain pills are not helping. I thought the second time around would be easier, I guess I was wrong.

Hi Sue:)
I remember you posting back in the summer of 2010 and you were in pain then...I'm so sorry to hear you are still in pain.
Did you ever get a 2nd opinion?
If the heart doctors are telling you it is not the pacemaker/def, then perhaps your next move would be to go to a Pain Clinic...just a suggestion.
