Hello,
Could you please help me with my question. I've had a three leaded PM for two years, implanted on my left side and I'm left handed. Do you think it would be safe to play badminton? my worry is damage to the leads.
Thank you for your help.

YES ..play !! After 2 yrs with a PM your leads will be well and truly bedded into the heart with scar tissue and there's enough slack built into them to allow you to stretch for the most challenging smashes on a badminton court.
I played 2 hrs of strenuous singles tennis yesterday and it is vaguely similar to the strange game that you play !
Enjoy 1
Ian

A big thank you to Ian MC, Vpainter and Selwyn for your comments it has really given me the confidence to start playing Badminton.
My daughter keeps asking me to give her a game so here goes.
Thank you.

I'm left handed, my PM is on the left side ( was given the option of having it on the right side, but would have caught my seat belt driving - in UK).
I play badminton regularly- no trouble.
I swim front crawl regularly. No trouble.
After 2 years your leads will be well and truly stuck into the heart muscle. I have tried to remove pacemakers/ leads from the odd deceased person ( prior to cremation) and believe me they take a great deal of pulling to get the leads out- sometimes it is impossible!). IAN MC is entirely correct in what is said.
Be reassured. Badminton is a great game.- enjoy.
