HI - I had PM implanted 1999 and was doing great = April 2009 started playing golf 4X/week and in August experienced lead fracture necescitating lead revision.
1) could lead fracture be associated with golf swing?
2) OR is this my excuse for giving up the game since i am so poor at it
Need the help of an experienced, paced psychiatric golfer

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
Golf swing

I am guessing that the guys from St Lukes (as you are from Lees summit) performed the original implant and or the lead revision so you probably have a Medtronic device.
The golf swing may be the culprit in the older leads as sometimes the coatings break down over time. However , since you likely had the new lead placed in the axillary vein (if the STLukes guys did if) then there is a lower likelihood that the lead would be pinched vs the subclavian approach.
I wouldn't fret too much about the older lead, but if happens again, then switch to miniature golf.
Good luck
