Hello everyone! I just had my PM placed on 11/11. (I was alamb before, but for some reason, I can't open up my account. So,... now I am alamb2.) I got a St. Jude dual chamber unit. It was placed under the muscle (longer recovery) and secured with about 9 staples so the only restriction I got was no sudden or jerky, jostiling movments and to let the pain be my guide. I was given six to eight weeks for full recovery.
I wanted to thank everyone who have given me feed back. If it were not for you, I would still be on the fence as to whether I should get it done or wait till I "really" need it. It is done now. While I am still on pain meds that make me drowsy , I have to report I already feel much better. To put my feeling into words,... it is like putting on a pair of corrective eyeglasses and now, I can see with clarity. I can't wait till I am all healed up and off of the meds.
What a difference!
Amie

Amie: It is so good to read of success stories in the PM Club. So many of our members have so many other/additional illnesses/problems and need all of our Blessings. It is just good to hear of someone feeling better and doing so well. Bless you, Carolyn G. of TEXAS ( :

Great to hear the improvement, reminds me again of my 1st PM in 1992. Within a few days after my first PM I just had to check out how good I really felt. I took my pilot friend as Pilot-in-Command and we went up to 10,000 feet altitude and the world was great, never felt better and will never forget, hence "Great Horizons"

Good for you! I'm glad it went smoothly and you're already feeling better. I felt the same way, like the world was suddenly clearer. It's a great feeling!
