I have been told by three different people how long my pacer will last. I have been from 2 too 3 too 5 more years. I'm confused I have had it since 2003.At one time they said it worked half the time and now one third of the time. Bruce53

This is true, I was told to expect 10 years and at my last visit after 4 years at my current use level was 17.5 more years.

It's normal for the numbers to fluctuate. The number they give you each time you have it checked is an estimate based on the current usage and settings. It is quite normal to vary in how often you use it, which will change the estimated battery life. The more you use it, the sooner you need it changed. 5-7 years is average.
