Thankyou Everyone Palpitations/Anxiety
Thankyou to everyone who very kindly took time to reply to my message : Palpitions / Anxiety.
I am so greatful for the support you all offer, it's nice to have people that are all in the same boat!
I can see that this is a great community to be involved in, and wish i had found it back in April'09 when i had my PM fitted, i was to scared to Google anything to do with PM and my condition in case i found something bad about them, it's only now 6 months on im getting brave enough to look.

You can always, and I stress the word "always", call in for an ear;ier appointment if you have concerns. Never hesitate. :-)

I agree. They get tiresome. I'm just starting to come out of a period of severe PVC's etc.caused by a bout with the flu. My ECG looked like a 3 year old kid scribbling on the white board.
Fortunately, they aren't life threatening. The most frustrating thing about them is that they are aggravated by emotional stuff. I find it is better not to watch TV shows with a lot of suspense. And of course worrying about the strange beats makes them worse.
The funny thing is that getting active does more for me than anything else. I was out in the desert this morning and hiking up a very steep hill almost totally stopped my PVC's. Maybe my body is telling me to quit being lazy.

I too concur with ppt!!!!!!!!!!! Call and ask for an earlier appointment, if they say they can't fit you in any earlier, than ask to be put on their cancellation list.
Remember: the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Call, it can't hurt.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
Yes, call

I also believe you should ask for an earlier appt. Just to put your mind at ease.
To answer your other question:
On heart related problem lists, I have seen sick sinus syndrome mentioned as the same as sinus node dysfunction. On the left side of this page right now you will see "abbreviations" listed under Information. Click on it (abbreviations) and scroll down the alphabetical list that appears and you'll find "SSS"...
I'm also glad you found this site. Everyone on here has been a great help to me these past 3 years since my PM implant!
Anyway, keep us updated.
Take care,
Suze
