Been awhile

In January I got my PM checked and they said 4 to 16 months left of the battery. In the morning I get it checked again. Hopefully it has stayed the same. I am just not ready to get another battery put in. My husband says just get it over with and be done with it for awhile. This will be PM number 5 and surgery number 22. I don't think he gets it. I know it is going to be a lot easier then last time when they moved it for me from my abdomen to upper left chest. I have had it since July 2005. It has run it course. I am just not ready to get a new one yet. I don't think I will ever be ready but still.

Now they say 1 to 10 months. Will get it checked again in July. The surgery will be happening sometime in the next 6 months.

Becky,
I agree with your husband. Yes you have been through so much and yet you're still here you're alive. Don't give up Becky do what needs to be done you will be fine. Often it's thoughts, negative feelings and worry that are at issue. After the procedure you will be fine you can rest and not worry yourself so much. I had my pm, the first one ever, implanted Jan 18, 13. I've not gotten use to it but my pulse does goes to the high fifties. Most of the time it is 65 -80. Soon I will visit my cardiologist to address these concerns I also experience dizzy spells. Perhaps you have some insights. Stay well and do feel better.
