I have had a PM for most of my life. Just recently I started working out. I do the tread mill and then some of the exercise machines. My PM is in on my left side. I don't force myself to do the exercise but when I do the arms my left arm seems to be weaker and a little tenser (if that is a word). Is this normal? I don't want one side to be stronger then the other. I am only 34. What kind of exercise should I do to improve?

Mine left is weaker too !

I exercise doing pilates machine, hand weights and walking. My range of motion changed with the pacemaker. With hand weights I use a lighter weight overhead than before and arm flys I cannot extend like I used too. No matter what I do, I cannot do as many pushups. My pilates machines has pulley system which helps with the balance of both sides of body, I think this has helped. I have my pacemaker 8 years. Good luck, chapping for your success at exercise !
Try wall push ups

Like TraceyE says, pushups are great, but for whatever reason I can't handle them. If you can't do the traditional pushups, try wall pushups. They are a lot easier and then when you gain the strength you can progress to traditional.
Are you right handed?

If you are righthanded then your left arm/hand will always be a little weaker since you use your right most often.
To gain strength in your left arm start with free weights and begin using the lightest one you can. Then see how easy it is to do reps in 1 minute (try arm/bicep curls and some one arm rows try youtube for some proper demonstrations of arm exercises ). If it is too easy go to the next weight (try increments of 1 lb). You may find that you need to use a weight one pound lighter with your left than with your right. Do the weights 2 or 3 times a week (no more). You should see a difference in a few weeks.
Doing good

I have been keeping up with what I have been doing and it seems that it is getting stronger. I was just a little bit freaked out a little bit when it was weaker. But I guess it is normal to have one side weaker. Yes I am right handed. Thanks for everybody's support.

push ups!

Just keep doing what you're doing, it'll come together! I do push ups. Hand weights also, but push ups are fast and easy, you don't need any equipment, and you have to use both sides equally.
