Are there any vitamin supplements I can take to lessen the PAC's?

PAC's

I don't know if there are any vitamins out there to help PACs but have you spoken with your EP or cardiologist about this?

I'm sure there is something that can be done to rid you of them or at least lessen them to some degree.

Don't give up hope.

Vitamin supplements

Hi

Please check out magnesium or potassium supplements. The last I had continuous arrythmia problems, I was prescribed magnesium tablets as supplements and to take apple and bananas as supplement for potassium. It was discontinued after about 3 weeks, after the episodes settled down and stabilize. I am not sure if this can be related to PACs you described. Something to check out with the doc.

My Dr. Hasn't Told Me About Any

Hi Wenditt,

Last time I had a 24 hour holter monitor study (1 year ago, pre-PM-installation), I had 3,500 PACs. I'm sure I'm having more now, because all my heart electrical problems seem to have been getting worse quickly over the last year. That is why I had a PM installed 10 days ago. It will help me get over the fear of fainting, falling or passing out on the low end. But it is not supposed to help with the tachycardias and PACs.

I can hardly wait until my first PM clinic appointment (in 10 more days) with the Medtronics rep. The guy will download the information from my PM and tell me how many PACs I've had since it was installed...also how many tachycardias and other odd beats.

Believe me, I can generally feel when I am having a lot of PACs. I feel them, and then I listen to them with my stethoscope -- I can hear them clearly. Somehow that makes me feel better...just sitting there and hearing them though the stethoscope. It's easy to buy a cheap one for a few dollars. Give it a try. It might make you feel better about your PACs.

My doctor has never given me any indication that there was anything medication- or procedure-wise that would "cure" or lessen my PACs.

I would be eager to learn if there is anyone else out there who has been helped by a medication or procedure to lessen their PACs.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
