Can anyone explain PET/CT results

I just had a ICD implanted replacing my PM implanted for 2nd degree heart block, due to evidence of cardiac sarcoid They just did a PET/CT scan to determine level of sarcoid in my heart. Can anyone explain the below results to me.

Results from N-13 ammomia MPI "Essentially fixed moderate to severe perfusion abnormality involving the basal septum extending in the mid to distal anteroseptal and anterolateral regions is associating no obvious regional wall abnormality" "No fixed or reversible perfusion defect in the remainder of myocardium. Left ventricular cavity appears normal in size." Quite a moth full

My take on it is the center divider of the heart is affected and the rest seems fine. One thing I don't understand is my reported ejection fraction is 40%. Why so low?

Any help understanding this would be greatly appreciated. Don't have an appointment to review this with my cardiologist till June.

Thanks
Jim

Dear Jim:
I'm sorry I can't explain your results, but I know that 40% for an ejection fraction is not that bad. Mine is 45%, and my nurse practitioner told me that "normal" is 50 to 55.
But I, too, have an ICD from cardiac sarcoid. It's very rare that I see someone on this site with that diagnosis.
I don't feel so all alone now:) I've had two PET scans since my ICD was implanted in October of 2011. I did not receive any news on either one so I just assumed everything was okay. I don't get to this site like I used to, but I do read my email if you want to correspond that way, or not. My email is Helives333@sbcglobal.net.
