Weight Training!

I have viewed my pacer implant as "training around an injury"! Any experienced weightmen out there know what I mean. For those who don't you simply train around the affected area. Has anyone tried this? For example...Dumbbell presses on the side w/out the pacer, wrist curls, bicep curls, leg work, etc.. Yes, I'm waiting...5/wks now. But am ready to go. Any comments?

I was cleared to exercise 2 weeks after my ICD implant.

I guess it all depends on the doc and what he feels like telling you.

I still do all exercises, weighted pull ups, military presses, etc.

"its time to get into shape nxt summer is only around the corner" that part of staying fit doesn't help me, since I do not remove my shirt to show off the metal "boob", but it's a good idea to still stay fit...

congrats Gman

Would these exercises be ok? I really need to do chest work! I need to get my mind away from thoughts of those leads ripping out of my heart at full stretch position!

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
