What did you do today?

Note: Today being whenever you read this. Both newbie Pacers and experienced.

8/20 will be 1/month for me. If you read my Post ASKING FOR ENCOURAGEMENT you'll understand where I have been. In short, scared to death...of even moving! I'm coming out of it thanks to some great help from DCPacer, Pacergirl & Bowlrbob.

Today I had a day off but I did some weed wacking with an electric weedwacker-no cord. I held it in my right hand and guided it with my left arm(forbidden arm). I ran it until the battery went down. 90 degrees today here in Western Pennsylvania. I sweated. I also filled up 5 birdbaths carrying water(with my right hand). I will drive later. I was OK to drive after 1 week. Other than that read papers and listened to FOX radio. I know this sounds boring but I did move a little. Bowlrbob inspires me with his work. Hard, productive work that burns calories. Also Pacergirl, I am looking at the 928 in the garage...not yet but soon, May take a run to West Virginia...nice windy roads. Yeah!!! I can picture you in your town and the incredible things you can do on those long straightaways!!! OK next, What did you do today?

by denise61 - 2009-08-17 06:08:26

Wednesday my dad had surgery and when he got out of recovery my mom got sick so off I went to ER with her, they let her go home but four hours later back into ER and they admitted her, dad got out the next day and went home to recover and off I went to work with 2 hours of sleep worked 14 hours and back up to hospital.

Today mom not doing to well her kidneys are not working very well and her blood pressure is way to high.

No exercise involved but lots of stress but I am taking care of my self.

Thanks for letting me vent :)

Tomorrow is the first day of school so we've been going through backpacks and wardrobes to make sure all is ready for the big day. I started my day by dragging my kids out of bed at the horribly early (heavy sarcasm intended) hour of 8am so we could be at school to help PTO stuff packets and pass out schedules. Spent the morning at school, took the girls out to lunch as a last treat before school starts, came home and worked, worked, worked. Considered grabbing a flight to go strangle a certain programmer who's making my life miserable but shot off several borderline nasty emails instead. Saw husband off on a business trip, fixed dinner for the kids, am checking messages before I take the night off to read a bit then play in my craft room with a glass of wine before I enjoy an entire night with no snoring! (Love my husband, love the occasional overnight trip also, lol)

GMan this is for you...

I played in a golf scramble to raise money for the local fireman's union. Had a great time despite the 93 degree temps, and hit some great shots (along with many not so great ones...).

Putting the kids to bed and then fixing to watch the Giants and the Panthers play a stellar preseason game.

I was up to early......

I had to get up at 0400 this morning to see my hubby and girls off to the ferry. I then did some house chores....got showered and dressed and went to work.

After work I had to go and get my driver's licence renewed as it expires tomorrow.

After that I went to the grocery store and bought a cake. It's my Birthday tomorrow and I have to work so I bought I cake for my colleagues at work so we can share a piece of birthday cake on our breaks.

After the grocery store I made the 45 mins drive home...got home did some more tidying. got dinner started and I am now waiting the arrival of my hubby and my two step sons who are coming for a visit.

West Virginia! oh my gosh! How I wish I could be there to enjoy that! What a sight you will be. I am rooting for you. Even to be considering driving the 928.... ahhhhhh what a feeling. I will be hanging on every word when you get to the time you can take charge and really DRIVE! hehe.... you have made my day.... you truly have.

Now here is what I did today... Went into work to interview a woman for my job that I quit... It isn't going to work out. (3 people so far) So the Dr. has proposed that I think about something. He wants to pay me a lot of money if I will stay. A LOT! It is a commission plan. If I bring in X amount of people... then I receive X amount of dollars as well as my base pay that I already got. Why did he not think of this sooner? I could have made a lot of money and been retired. I am considering it, I really am.

Maybe I will take the 928 for a drive, just to clear my thoughts.... varoom, varoom! That should get my heart to racing.... ah I feel better already!

Pacergirl

P.S. no need to thank me... As it is always good to lend a "Varoom" to another Porsche driver. 8-) Can't hardly wait to see you back on the road.

a new world

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
