Thanks to all of you!

I just joined this site today. My PM was placed in Nov. 08 and it has hurt like hell every day since. The HD says it will get better. It has not. I searched for PM pain and found this site. Thank God. After reading some posts of others with pain, I know I am not a looney! The site is so sore, it hurts when I breathe! Also, my left shoulder and arm and along the wire in my chest. I am going to try some of the things mentioned here! Just am so thankful that it is not "just me", but also sorry others have pain. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so I am thinking it is just going to take a full year. The HD said it may be attached to a muscle? If so, then it will take a long time to stop hurting. It is hard to function in constant pain, but then again, it does take my mind off joint pain! May as well laugh as cry. Life bites. Thanks to all who posted. It helped me so very much!

to hear that you have had that much pain for such a long time! I sincerely hope you will start feeling better soon! I had considerable pain for two to three months and that, together with lack of sleep and other complications, was making me lose my appetite and feel depressed. I can't even imagine what I would be feeling like if the pain had lasted almost a year. Have you considered seeing another doctor about the pain? What about seeing a chronic pain specialist? Do you have those in your local hospital? A doctor who concentrates on treating pain (even when the cause is unknown).
