Not feeling well & head pain

I had a pacemaker put in 2 weeks ago. This past weekend I started feeling like I could feel the lead in my heart and can hear the blood pumping or gargling through my heart. I found out when I had my procedure I have Persistent Left Superior Vena Cava which explains alot of things about me (why I sleep on my back, can't stand recliners, ect), but I just wonder if I am getting dehydrated or something because of this. I only have one lead to the sinus node. I am also having shooting headaces in the back of my head, not sure why about that as well, and I may just go to the ER tonight if it keeps going on. I just wondered if anyone had any insight to this. I will probably end up at the ER anyways, but I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Basically I feel much better, but the head pains concern me. Thanks.

When in doubt, call the dr or head to the ER. It is probably nothing, but why take chances? Better to let a professional make that determination.

Being dehydrated will definitely cause headaches.

The shooting pain

At the time when I went into 3rd degree block, just before my pm was implanted, I also had the most horrible shooting pains at the back of my head. I have migrains, but these were much worse. I asked a cardiologist, and he said he did not know what those were about. But then I had one of these pains right there in the er and they took my bloodpressure and it was something like 214/80 and my pulse was 32. So I think the pain was somehow connected with the weird blood pressure, just my own guess though... I still had some such episodes after the pm implantation, but happily they stopped in a couple of weeks. During that time I kept having problems with my bp. But to be safe, I would suggest that you see a doctor! Your problem may be something else...

You can finally prove that you have a heart.
