ICD question

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I FELT AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK STRAIGHT DOWN MY CHEST. I HAVE A ST JUDE ICD ? ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN ?

That happened to me once, also in the middle of the night, and it turned out to be nothing dangerous. It was pretty freaky, though.

SAID THE PACEMAKER IS DOING IT'S JOB. I'M SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY AM FOR PACER CHECK. IF IT GOES AGAIN OR DONT FEEL RIGHT COME RIGHT INTO THE OFFICE. I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED

If you are suspicious that the ICD has fired, please call the physician's office where it was implanted and tell them. Otherwise, you should go to the ER and have the device interrogated.

ICD shocks can be a harbinger of many things, but they should be checked out.

Had my ICD checked this morning and it did not fire. He said it could have been a p/m nightmare, muscle spasms or just about anything. The ICD is fine and my battery is still holding at 2.55 since Oct 09.
