interregation

4/23 my Metronic Consulta CRT-D was checked for the 2nd time since it was implanted 3/09 (they missed me in Dec.) Today my Dr. went over the results with me. He was very patient but I tend to drive him crazy. He says I'm his only patient that wants all this info and that I should get over it and not obsess on the PM and I don't need all that info in the first place. Of course, I don't feel that way. He actually was surprised that I knew anything about it and I told him the Internet was a great place and there was a forum i joined that people traded info on. I'm not a all sure he thinks that's a good idea. Overall, it was a good report. No pace terminated episodes, No shock terminated episodes, no total shocks and no aborted charges; zero on all of them. If I remember correctly, both ventricles are paced and one atrial.

There was one note that drives me crazy, it said my activity was less that ONE hour a day for 26 weeks. That's Bulls**t and I told him that. It showed a graph with activity through Dec. 09 but beginning Jan 2010 it was just about flat lined. Since I haven't been ill or changed my routines that is crock. In Dec. I had a stent put in for 90% blockage and I asked him if it had been turned off during that procedure. He said no. The gal told me it had been adjusted so low it wasn't functioning and she turned it up. I wanted to know whether it was low, med. or high now. Got sidetracked on something else so no answer. I see that most recommendations here are to have it turned off. Should I have kept my mouth shut and left it non-functioning or have I shot myself in the foot by having it operational now?? I'm trying to see if I feel a difference and I can't say yet. I don't know what I should look for. It must have been working before the stent.
I'm sorry this is so long, I'll try not to do it again. I keep trying to fill in background to the situation. Thanks to anyone who has plowed through all this. Any comments?
