I am looking at buying a wrist pulse and heart rate monitor to use while exercising or walking These devices look like a big watch with a small blood pressure cup that inflates around the wrist.
Some of models have a wireless transmitter that sends data to a computer while you work out. I wonder if the wireless models will have any effect on the pacemaker. I just need something to record data so I can download it later.
I know these are not as accurate as the regular blood pressure cuffs but at least I can get some data for the next doctor visit for the times I feel tired when walking or exercising.
I anybody here using one of these monitors?

There have been quite a few discussions on this if you do a search. Look for Electric Frank's responses, he gives a great explanation of how the different technologies work. I haven't seen one that inflates intended for exercise. Who makes it? See if you can test it out in the store before buying it. Some members have had good luck finding one that works well, but I've been through half a dozen models and had no luck. My pm interferes with the device and it tells me I have no pulse. After I returned two, I started asking to try them out before buying.

This is the type of meter I was looking at. There are some models that send wireless data back to a computer but I don't need that option. It looks like a big watch.

I have a similar model from Omron. I think mine is a bit bigger than the pictures in your link, but mine is way too clunky and the bracelet is too scratchy to wear while working out. Also, mine gives a reading when you press the button, not a continuous readout like a monitor intended to be work for exercise. Please let me know how this works for you!

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.

I would think your best bet is to contact your pacemaker mfg and ask their "tech dept". I have always received great help from Biotronics, mfg of my pacemaker. And sometimes when I have asked cardio office questions like that, they refer me to the mfg.
I don't use the monitor, just keep a pedometer on my at all times, as a reminder that I have or have not walked or moved around as much as I should during the day.
Good luck
