lead moved before leaving hospital

Hi Everyone,
I am glad I found this site. I had my dual chamber PM placed 4/16/09 and on 4/17 was told the bottom lead had moved.
I was wondering if the second surgery will be worse since it will still be tender when they fix it. I was told they will call to let me know when they will correct this, it may be in a week or two.
They have turned off the current to the misplaced lead. I feel so much better now that my pulse is 60, it is hard to think about having to have another surgery.
Has anyone gone through this that can shed some light on what to expect?
Cindy

safe pacing

Cindy - many Drs. are now putting the lead's electrode in the spot that prevents heart failure long term. See:

Instead of pavcing the heart's normal conduction system, (Google "cardiac conduction syntem) for a normal contraction that prevents heart failure long term, old fassion Drs. still pace in the muscel of the right ventricle.

Terry thank you for the suggested reading.
I have found a lot of good information by doing a search here. I am no longer feeling frustrated about my situation, now that I know others have been through this and are doing just fine. I am blessed to have discovered this site.
