iPods and headphones

Does anyone use either iPods or wireless headphones with their pacemaker. I'm new to this. Got my PM in Jan. Still adjusting and trying to learn all the "don't s".

I use traditional plug into my iphone headphones but was told to have the cord not lie over the pacemaker, so I put it behind my head.

Wireless Headphones.

I got my PM in Jan as well. I use wireless headphones with my TV and haven't had any issues yet.

No problem

The only warning I was given was about having someone sleep on my chest wearing high-end headphones. High-end headphones have large rare-earth magnets and may put the pacemaker into its safe mode. The point about having someone sleeping on the chest points out how close it would have to be. My EP is VERY conservative, too.

I use Bluetooth ear buds, Bluetooth cordless (wire between them) earbuds, and fairly high-end over the ear headphones.  No problems.

No problems here

I'm on my third device in three years and I have been using Bluetooth headphones for gaming and music every day. I haven't seen a problem, and my EP hasn't warned me about anything other than the magnetic closure on my Bose headphones.

Should be fine

Hi! I got my pacemaker in February and was wondering the same thing. I emailed Biotronik and they said to keep my AirPods at least six inches away from my device as a precaution. They said the same thing that iPhone, smartwatch and tablet should stay six inches from my pacemaker.

From my ear to my pacer, it's over six inches. But if you are concerned, you can message your pacer manufacturer to get more clear info on this.

Best of luck!
