Hi
5 years in and my doctor says not a good idea to swim crawl because of where the pacemaker wires are implanted. Best to swim breast stroke.
I swim 20 to 40 lengths three times a week.
Anyone heard of this?

Hey, you are supposed to swim on top of the water not crawl along the bottom. That's for divers. LOL

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.

Hi,
I swim 3 to 5 times a week (60 - 80 laps) and my doctor has said it is ok to swim crawl - I did have to wait longer after the surgery (10 - 12 weeks) before I could go swimming though. I don't think it's a problem (at least I hope not!!).
