re sited pm

hi can i ask has anyone had the following ,hubby went for his check up and explained that he gets pain in his neck and shoulder close by pm site they looked at it and said it should have been sited a little further over he is only a small buit man so this is probly why it so close to top of arm and shoulder bone but they have said he can have it resited if he wishes to if it gives him pain has any one else had there pm re sited and was it worse than the first time he had his pm for 5 months now and do they have to re do the leads

The only problem that he has to be concerned about is the risk of infection goes up everytime you open your incision. I think if his incision site heals well then it would not be a big deal to go in and move it under the muscle.
I wish him luck and look forward to hearing the choice that you guys make.

I had a revision done about 4 months after the first implant of my ICD. I had much the same problem. The leads were fine so they didnt touch them ,, they placed it under the muscle instead of just under the skin. I forget its even there now.

hi everyone well we had a appiontment with our gp and he has sent a fax to the hospital we are waiting a appiontment hubby might be going back in to have his pm re sited ,but im not looking forward to it as he hasto go in for a week due to the warafrin he is on ,due to merchanical valves ,so its gona be another long week ,but if it stops him having pain and pm diging in his shoulder then its worth it ill keep you all informed to how it all goes and thanx to everyone for your support
