calf pain?

Did any of you expierience calf pain after getting your pacemaker? This started for me 2 days ago. I did walk some that day but not that much. It doesnt seem to be going away. It is worse with walking. It is in both calfs.
Should I be concerned? Should I call the Cardiologist? I have my pacer now for 21 days.I am feeling better otherwise and actually had a pretty positive outlook today.Dont know how I'll feel when I go back to work though as its pretty physical.
Thank You all so much for your replys.

Don't want to scare you but calf pain could be a sign of DVT, a clot in the leg. Pain in both legs is a little rare with DVT, I believe. Could also be a narrowing of blood vessels esp. if worse with walking. 'Course it could be a muscle strain too. Better be safe & get it checked out & then let us know how you are doing.

I don't know about post pacemaker leg cramps, but when I was pregnant they told me to eat bananas for the potassium to prevent leg cramps.

You probably need more potassium since you are most likely on water pills that will deplete your body of potassium. Let your doctor know before you start taking the potassium

Like A really severe pull

Hi. I had a defibrillator installed on Nov. 11 of 2008 and the strangest thing after the fact was the feeling of a severely pulled left calf muscle. It has since gone away but It was so odd I mentioned it to my docs. They had no explanation but you are not alone.
