Hello Friends,
Am 9 days post a lead extraction and pm replacement. Initially got pericardial effusion (fluid in paricardial lining) and went into ICU for bottoming out BP. Yesterday had clean echocardiogram and EP says I am recovering well now. Tonight I went to make short trip to grocery store. After only 5 minutes, got a couple of very sharp pains in heart area, and got very dizzy - no vertigo, just sensation of going to pass out. Found place to sit and felt better. Mgr. brought me handicap cart and helped me w/groceries to car without incident. Ok on drive home - just feeling very badly when standing. BP at home 164/94 - is high every PM right before I take my HTN medication - is normal for me. Will call EP's assistant in AM. Any ideas if this is probably normal this early stage of recovery?
Thanks

Thanks. I did call. Ep says I still have lots of inflammation from the lead extraction even though the pericardial fluid is abating. Guess I'll settle in for a movie marathon and good excuse to stay off my feet. Haha

No idea if it's normal or not but I would not wait to call. Better safe than sorry! Good luck.
