New PM and Sleep Pattern

My PM was implanted on 11/6. Since then, my sleep pattern is different. Before the PM, I required 8 to 9 hrs of sleep to feel refreshed. Since the surgery, I sleep only 7 hrs (without fail). Anyone else out there experience sleep changes? I feel like the energizer bunny now - lots of energy.

I hope this happens to me! I am a 3rd shifter and havent been able to get out of bed! so I certainly hope I will gain energy as you all have.

Yep!

Very familiar. If you are like me though you will slowly use your new found energy to do more and then need a bit more sleep.

Sleep Depends on Activity

Your activity has possibly changed.

Generally speaking, If you're active and work hard, you fall asleep easier, sleep longer, and more deeply. When you're convalescing, and more or less sitting around the house, it's harder to fall asleep, and you don't sleep as deeply or as long.

You know you're wired when...

You have a T-shirt that reads “Wired4Sound”.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
