Debit card reader gone haywire!

I stopped at a gift store to buy some thank you cards and when I was using my debit card in the card reader I noticed when I typed in the code the reader was causing a vibration up my entire arm and across my chest! I took my hand off of the reader and it stopped the sensation. I tried to retype the code and again it did it again. So I told the cashier and she said yes she knew about the reader and it was "acting funny" all day! I told her it was effecting my pacemaker and it could quite possibly reprogram it if I left my hand there too long. Had they called anyone? No, she said called me "dear" again and then said I should tell the manager. She didn't seem alarmed at all. So I did and he also didn't think it was a problem. I explained again that I thought that the reader was effecting my pacemaker and he needed to #1 get it fixed and #2 quit using it until he did!
When I left the store they were still using it! My God! I don't think they believed that I have a pacemaker. Let's hope they haven't reset my pacer! I will pay attention how it acts tonight. I still feel a little weird. I'm okay, but a bit strange. We will see how it goes and if I need to call the dr. I will. If I do then I will report them to the Medical board or someone!! Stupid people bother me!! Sorry about the rant... they really made me cross. Any advise or comments?... Maybe I am just over reacting .... Then again maybe I am not!
Thank you for taking the time to read what happened to me. Pacergirl

i am glad you told me this. i use my debit a lot when i shop. i have been thinking i won't anymore as the charges are very high. i was thinking of taking cash out at my bank and not use it anymore. this just encourages me to do that. i would be very upset if this happened to me and noone took it seriously. so look into it if you can and see what can be done . take care jessie
